Well, my unit (c-17s) is having an interviews next week. They have this interview board once a year, and they have already screened all the applicants before they decide who they even want to come in for an interview.... They are only looking to hire one person. That should sum up how competitive/"hard" it is to get a pilot slot in the guard/reserves.
