Southwest is a great airline with great people and anyone would be lucky to have a job there.....but please, do not come on here and say it’s not more attractive to fly 9 days a month at 400K a year on a 777 rather than 15+ days in a 737 hopping around the country. Don’t like the time change? Bid 4 day domestic trips on the triple and work 12 days instead of 9, flying one leg a day. Folks are happy at SWA and are making great money. No doubt about it. But you can’t deny it’s a huge plus to be able to constantly do different types of flying throughout ones career.

Get bored of RJ type flying? Do transcons. Bored of that? Do Hawaii. Done with that? Do Europe. Getting old? Fly to Asia. Too long? Back to domestic. It can make a long career much more enjoyable. Just some food for thought. I think we can all agree commuting sucks though.

Being so young, ask yourself this question: are guys leaving Southwest to go to United? Are guys leaving United to go to Southwest? In the end, everyone has a different situation. You have to do what’s best for you. Best of luck.
