Can we please start picking up the flight decks during plane swaps/overnights? Window shades up, gaspers open if the APU is running, swap out the trash bag if it's full/gross/smelly, dim the screens if it's hot. Take your crumbs and trash as well.
I feel that this is the least you could do for your fellow brothers/sisters. Some of the flight decks these days are atrocious.
Here's the problem. Most of our pilots are Alpha males or newbs. In other words the A-types cant see past their own noses so they don't give a flying J about the next crew as made evident when youre standing in the jetway for a crew change and you hear the APU shut down.
The other type just don't know any better. So they'll slide the seat up just a few inches to comfortably grab their hats and leave it like that, oh and please always triple check the steering and light switches.
