I ran into a random the other day said his app has been in for a couple years and nothing. He was shocked United hadn’t called with his “credentials”....I asked how often he updates his app? He said every other month I told him I updated mine at the end of every day I flew.
He said man that’s a lot of work.......can’t help someone who is not willing to put in the effort.

Also sucks for my friends that do all of the above, have the volunteer work, have their apps reviewed and told "you're just what they're looking for you should get an email anytime" annnnnnnnnnd circketts.

What's worse is the people that fudged their volunteer work since there's really NO VERIFICATION of it.
Or, those that so freely admit that once they got the job they stopped their volunteer work and it was simply resume fodder.
Sure, "do what ya gotta do", but it goes against the mantra of hiring the people that "have integrity, go above and beyond", etc etc.
