This stems from a news bit that came out a week or so ago. (see
http://www.airlinepilotforums.com/sh...ad.php?t=18598) The article says that United's CFO pointed out the company has some 100 aircraft that are paid off, and
could be parked (or sold) in response to increasing oil prices. However, to my knowledge no firm announcement has been made.
