I just thought of something, nobody but the gossipers have said who it will be for. Why are you all so sure it is going to be SWA?
It could very well be another airline. Also when is Expressjets contract up with CAL?
I thought you said we would all be getting a raise when you voted a union out, and "big news" was to be announced as soon as the union drive was over? What happend. lol.

We will get a raise soon and SAPA will be meeting with managment to get this done. Either way i'm happy it was voted down.

Ya'll say you don't want to take "anybody else's flying," but you know its a dog eat dog world, and if it meant better QOL for you, you'd take it happily.

I didn't say anything of the sort I just asked when xjt contract was up because I wasn't sure if it was this year or next year, because that could be what everyone is talking about and not SWA.

Exactly.

Btw pilots don't bid on flying managment does. So it doesn't matter what the pilots at skywest or chq or whoever "stole" flying from airline x. It will always be managment who decides why and where the flying goes. But i'm sure skywest will be blamed because we are not alpa even though we make more than most other regionals.

you are right. management will always be the one to decide whos flying they go after. and if its not illegal then the pilots have to fly it. but i would never take joy in watching one of my fellow pilots head back to the unemployment line and start their career over at another regional. when i hear about that i think to myself it could have just as easily been me.

by more are you refering to the 2 dollars your captains make over ours with your new agreement vs. our contract that is 7 years old?

Well said I have friends all over the industry. I would hate to see any of their families suffer due to their company losing flying. It would not be worth whatever benefit I got from receiving the flying to see my good friends fall on hard times.
