Yup, total rip-off. I flew the DHC-8, brand new from the factory. We couldn't land over 19.450kg, could't land with tailwind between 10-20kts, couldn't fly the approach with props 900, couldn't fly the approach flap 15. If you wanted to do any of those you handed over a big check, and Bombardier would mail you a some green pages for the AOM, and magically , without any other changes, the airplane suddenly was capable.
