No disagreement here .. my whole point is that we have the freedom to choose where we live. I was based in San Francisco for 18 years, and with the exception of my time in the military, lived in California for my entire life. I left California about 4 years ago, by choice, and that option is available to every pilot on the seniority list. The same people that are crying for a domestic COLA would be crying foul when they got bumped out of Base by the seniority shift that would occur. Maybe they should also demand a bid freeze to the base as well to protect their relative seniority.
