I believe herein lies your problem. Any time you communicate with other people, especially via written word, you have to be very careful of the tone because there we, as the reader, have no other clues (like body language or voice clues) on which to gauge you or your point EXCEPT the words as YOU have written them. So if you want to halfass your typing and not give a rip about whether or not you come across as condescending, then I'm not sure why you are surprised by some of the responses you have recieved. Reference boilerpilot's post, it is SPOT ON. Do you get it yet?
And for the record, before you said you were 30something and from the military my impression was that you were an 18ish CFI who knows all there was to know about the world and is looking for the fast track no matter how many bridges you burn.
