Taking off out of CLT (how appropriate), a female controller cleared us for TO. I was PNF/PM. Got the switch to departure. Perform the after TO checklist and for the FIRST and ONLY time in my career I tuned but forgot to flip the switch (thats called sarcasm). So I check in with what I thought was dep, nope.

So the female tower controller says "you're still on me".

I respond with "you wish", then flipped the switch.
