Not to sure about this. An Airbus is probably the easiest of the airplanes to learn to fly. As for overseas flying, yeah they send them here to get their commercial multi, then around 300 hours they get shipped back home to observe for 3-6 months and then bam, right seat.
Easy to fly. Not easy to learn at all.
Remember, US airlines specifically screen their pilot candidates for the "right stuff" to complete training in the allotted time of just a few weeks, with no extra training costs. That's far different from overseas where some new-hire programs take 12 months, and most are probably at least six months.
