In my opinion, and I’m sure others will agree. If you live in the DC area and can drive to work then yes it’s worth it. If your QOL is high then the “back pocket” flow is worth coming to a WO. But, if you’re looking to commute than maybe not. Because as an FO you’ll be able to hold DC relatively quickly out of training and potentially get a few months of Rd1. Then when you upgrade you’ll be looking at a 2 leg to DAY or ORF before being able to bid back to DC. In that case I don’t think the flow is worth it. It’s all about QOL.
