edit - reread your graph, I see the 3rd CA pay more clearly now, I thought the red text at 3year delineated that at first. So, half the retention bonus at best.

Keep in mind, it's not like you're going to start at year CA at another regional after making a lateral move.

If one moves on from PSA right before they upgrade and let's say go to Republic. You'll starting off at year 1 and resetting the clock. By the time one upgrades Republic, one should be holding a line as a CA here as a Captain.
