And for all the newbies that are reading these threads trying to decide on which regional best fits you...Do your research. Don’t just read the last 2 or 3 pages of a thread. Sometimes you gotta dig. Go back 20-30 pages and start reading. And not to insult anyone’s intelligence (i know I didn’t know much when i was looking and deciding on regionals) but when we talk about “credit” we’re talking about how you get paid. There’s block and credit. Block is what you fly and is what goes in your logbook, resume, etc. Credit is what you get paid for. “Soft pay” is basically extra credit that you receive that doesn’t really relate to what you actually fly.

We don’t have much soft pay at PSA so whatever you block is pretty close to what you will credit each month. While other airlines have A LOT more soft pay than we do. Most other airlines have better trips anyway, but they also have a lot more soft way. That’s why almost everybody, not just Endeavor and Republic, credit so much more than we do.
