I don't think it fits the mission. Pistols fit better for how they fly. You don't need a turbine twin for a 15 minute flight. It also allows them to outbid other operators for eas routes.

I'd would hate to build a business model strictly on EAS routes should congress decide to start whittling them away. Granted CAPE AIR has survived under the model, will the model exists in a couple of years ?
