I was left behind in GEG by an Airbus crew years ago due to a door being MEL'ed it restricted the number of jumpseaters to 1 and there were 2 of us. Capt picked the junior pilot because he new him, didnt ask our schedule or look at seniority. Captains authority...you get what you get.

We also had a MD11 Capt refuse the jumpseat to his OWN brother who is a Pro Instructor at FedEx! Because he was mad at him...guy missed his events and impacted other FedEx pilots in training. Captains authority...it is what it is.

Ill fly with a millennial anytime, we have some real gems that make the older generation look like ass too.
