I found it a bit telling when I left EWR yesterday on a transcon that only snackboxes were available to first class due to this refrigeration problem, yet somehow they found it acceptable to board regular crew meals to our non-chiller or thermal bag equipped aircraft.

I wonder how long those meals had been sitting in the catering truck parked on the EWR ramp in 90+ degree heat, and then shipped off on our 5+ hour flight...
