Yeah, I understand that is what is listed as minimums just wondering why the 100 if that's not what is required for ATP, and if there are any exceptions. I have over 300 hrs dual given as CFII, 6 instrument sign offs and a CFII sign off with 100% pass rate. I would think that would be better experience than the 18 hours of instrument time I'm missing!
Employer can set any minimums they want. Here are the NetJets minimums to be a FO and fly right seat in a Gulfstream:
Minimums:
Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (Multi-Engine Land)
Current FAA First Class Medical certificate
2500 hours total pilot time
500 hours fixed wing multi-engine time
250 hours instrument time (actual or simulated in flight - excludes simulator time)

It might be driven by insurance requirements or might simply be the company trying to decrease their washout rate in training.
