Not too much news. The bid to fill the first of those vacancies was posted a couple of days ago. It went senior for captains and junior for FOs.
The first of the ORD CRJs will hit the fleet in October. There will be more bids over the coming months as the ORD CRJ flying builds up.
1. The award included management pilots and pilots on LOA at other airlines who probably aren’t returning.
2. The award was made before 2 September. Two week notices have gone in for those leaving.
I think a more accurate assessment will be who is available to bid and who is awarded lines over the next two months. A good number of those captains have class dates at Kalitta in September and October.
