I am definitly not a fan of single pilots IFR.
On my regional airline interview the pilot interviewing me commented that after flying single pilot IFR for six months in a twin (same type of business as Airnow), I must be a pretty good pilot as I either would have killed myself, or scared myself out of flying if I were not.
It is not the type of flying for a weak pilot; but if you want to get good at flying instruments (and you need to be good if you want to fly 121), then it is the way to go.
