Now, reading the contract language above, how is either of those situations different than the third bullet, that being that a trip show between Thanksgiving and Dec 31st?

If the company MUST offer the option to request AVA (not necessarily grant the request) when they cancel vacations they must also do the same for any trip that meets the third requirement as well, the way the contract is written.

That might not have been the intent, but I don't see how you can read it any other way. I am going to get back with Contract Enforcement and/or my block rep about this on Monday.
