I agree with the above statements, although I'm not anywhere near the expert on AVA, as I've only done it once in my time here. But I will add that although the contract says "7 days prior to show time", what it really means is 7 days times 24 hours or 168 hours from the exact minute the trip shows. At that moment, crew scheduling can award you that trip, and not one minute before (at least theoretically.) Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
