Was training new hires and was down to last 3 sims when they were sent to another fleet. It isn't common, but happens way too much to say it is an aberration. Have taught other crews who were in the last sim or two and were sent to us via displacement or company placed probationary moves. The long term scheds/ crew planning folks actually have a big picture, but no authority and accept the juggles as we all do. It is goofy, but 'we are moving at the speed of business' I feel the most sorry for these 'bubble crews' who are just senior enough to hold a seat, it goes away (displaced), and like being in the surf, get caught in a riptide and drift around the training center 9 months of two or three years until their seniority gets them ashore into safe seniority to avoid the bubbles. Example +10 F/O or CPT DC-8 with a -10 CPT or F/O this bid, two bids later... Switch. That is what causes the insanity. (of course it is simply responding to business needs <g>)
