Many usefulness of flight time without taking off and landing.

OP, not take anyone’s word for it speak to you local FSDO, they’ll tell you the same thing.
Your fine logging it. It’s known. But good educational opportunity to check with your local FSDO/local DPE, company Check Airmen/CPO.
There are no 100% relevant chief counsel interpretations about it. I'm in the landing required camp, the letter referenced deals more with flight duty times, not logging time.
But if you want to log it, it's your logbook, I wouldn't judge either way, I just read the reg differently.
