The difference is these guys are coming to 121 for the first time. Some aren’t even sure why they are doing flows and callouts yet.

For many, SIMs is where they start to bring their rote knowledge from systems and FPT together into application of that knowledge. To separate systems and FPT by weeks to the SIMs is an injustice to these pilots.

We all know there are things to complain about Mesa about. To create their own QRH when the manufacture prints (that Mesa must keep theirs in sync with) also seems pretty stupid - but nothing on the scale of the current training footprint.
