I may have seen it once or twice.

FWIW, I flew with a hat captain a few weeks back between SAN and OMA. He insisted on a .60 climb up to FL370. That was fine and dandy, but when we got up to cruise it took us a LOOOOONG time to accelerate from .60 to .80. Not to mention that the low speed buffet chart showed we were too close for comfort from stall at our weight and altitude.

Our climb profiles kinda scare me sometimes...
