None of you bashers out there have ever had to put up with the likes a management team as crooked as JO. Hell, most of you were probably still in high school back then. BTW, look at the end of their CBA, it's got a nice big fat signature from Duane Worth on there. Why is ALPA national endorsing crappy contracts?
The average MAG line pilot who accepted that contract reasonably believed that it was the only way to get rid of Freedom A. The reality is that the pending lawsuit PROBABLY would have turned out in favor of MAG without the need to give everything away, since there was an implied scope in the existing contract. AH and company apparently didn't want to wait for the lawsuit (who knows what their motives were?).
MAG alpa did a poor job of managing that situation, and national apparently didn't provide much guidance or backbone.
The whole thing was a big mess, but the average line pilot really isn't at fault for the contract. Why they still work there today is beyond me...what little contract they did have has lately been violated like a blond in a turkish prison. Unless you have a sick family member and need insurance, I can't really respect those who stay...face it folks, you choose poorly. Time for plan B.
