They look at ASAP reports and determine what needs to be drilled into your head. For mine, everything was out of JFK. Takeoff, CRI climb, back around for a coupled ILS. Then V1 cut run the checklist couple single engine ILS, reposition on final hand flown single engine ILS. Then a couple VOR using CANPA with a missed. Back around, land, evacuate. Remember, that is a training event. Next day is the LOE. It is supposed to be a normal flight like we would do any day. Oral is basic stuff. More than likley the FO will fly because they want to load the captain up with the QRH. They have a few scenerios they can use. They involve engine fires you cant put out, electrical failures and the easy stuff. Just fly the airplane. good luck
Do they do the CANPA to the VOR 13L/R at JFK? That one I'm not sure how not to do a dive and drive. You have Asalt at 3000..Mandatory, then CRI at 1500. Now you have a DDA of 800 or 850 I think but you have a
descending right turn. So do you compute the 1500 to 800 in the number of miles or do you use the 20' airport elevation???
