Long term goal is a major, no doubt there.
You’re not competitive with COPA based on your hours and lack of time, let alone no type rating on the B737. That said, save your money and let the first airline you get hired with pay for your first type rating.

You’re better remaining at your current airline, build time, upgrade, get some PIC under the belt, and move on, while remaining in the U.S.
