This AIP/TA is not “into the pattern”. Not by a long shot. NMB or no NMB, this NC has been outgunned since Day 1. NMB asked ALPA for PBS and they gave it to them while simultaneously lowering their October increased ask on pay rates. Lowered their October ask on DC. They sold out year 2-11 guys/gals to get “yes” votes. Make no mistake, you will operate under this contract for at least 7 years from today. 7 years at the bottom while every other pilot makes more money than you. Has cheaper healthcare than you and has a much larger retirement than you. Can’t possibly see from the bullet points how anyone would consider voting yes on the agreement. It is generally accepted that implementation of any PBS software equates to 8-12% reduction in pay rates (primarily based on seniority). Our senior pilots will receive approximately $0.48 on the dollar for retro, aka ratification bonus. This should be a “no” for anyone that plans on staying at F9.
Generally accepted reduction in rates? That is the first I ever heard of it. And how can something that affects seniority hurt the whole Pilot group? If it affects some guys negatively it affects other guys positively.

What PBS does do is increase the efficiency of the Pilot group by not allowing/reducing pre-month conflicts. This efficiency issue can be huge if you switch to PBS while guys are furloughed like some airlines have done or not even noticeable if you switch when you are hiring or undermanned.

I will say most guys who fly under PBS seem to prefer it over LOT bidding.
