It will be interesting to see what the Feds do this time. Years ago when I worked at Ft Rucker as an IP we could renew our CFI based on the training we did at the school. After the FAA reviewed their criteria they stopped renewing the CFI because we weren't training IAW Pt. 61, 91 etc. Most of the guys couldn't properly endorse a logbook if their careers depended on it. Two different worlds really.
