If you wear a uniform, the FO can take you on the walk around. That will help with your prep for the oral and generate some enthusiasm.

Besides prepping for the oral, focus on flows and callouts. Get back with your sim partner as soon as you have a sim date and practice these together, preferably in front of a paper tiger. Learn where the buttons are, to the point of like knowing where the controls are in your car.

V1 cuts, engine failure during go around, and hand flown single engine approaches normally kick new hires’ butts, so make sure you have these cold in front of a paper tiger before SIM1 it you can. Show up early to the sim training center and learn what you can from those ahead of you in the SIMs.
Perfect thanks for the info. Just bought a paper cockpit and going to get familairised with it before ground school begins.
