I don’t have a class date yet but expect one in the next couple weeks. Leaving AA is a tough decision when upgrade times are currently 5-6 years on a narrow body and decreasing. Fedex has hired 1000 pilots in the past 2.5 years out of 5000 total pilots. There are still tons of retirements coming though. Lots of factors in my decision but not having to commute is pretty huge.
Out of curiosity, How many AA pilots have been hired in the last 2.5 years compared to the total size of the AA pilot group? I know they have a lot of flow agreements, so their off the street hiring hasn't been as large as other companies.
