I do wish United and would equate a term of enlistment in the military to having a degree. I’ll take a guy who has been an infantry squad leader over someone who has a liberal arts degree from ‘Party U.’ Just another point of view.
I had 12 years enlisted service in the aviation field, but didn’t finish college until much later. Although enlisted experience is great, there is no comparison between that and four years of college. I clung to the same idea that other experience should be considered until I finally went back to school. Shortly after I finished I was hired by a major.
I don’t regret finishing school, but I do regret I didn’t finish sooner.
PS. Don’t get a degree from an online diploma mill, get a degree from a reputable university with a quality online program.
