Both jets are good qualification systems. The reason the MD is preferable is that most are equipped with EFIS and FMCs. That prepares you for more modern jets down the road.
Curious if training material and company manuals are put together well or is one having to shuffle to find information?
How would you say profiles and SOPs are? Well thought out for the MD80?
Manuals and checklist that are well thought out can make a pilot's job easier when things go south.
