But you are "home based" and must be able to get to your gateway within 2 hours. Not sure what the confusion is. You can always try to get alternate travel or make a longer drive as long as you can do the 2 hour window on a short call day (1 per month usually). Long call is 10-ish hours.
They will not because we do not have assigned bases like Atlas. We also don't travel before or after duty days to get from or to home.
This sounds like there is reserve at home? I understood it to be reserve but it’s in a paid for hotel such as in DFW or SEA or anywhere really.
They also mentioned a couple guys in the interview that live in Thailand and are able to justify the cost of getting anywhere in Asia for much less than the most expensive airport to fly out of in the US. I didn’t exactly understand the details of it, but it seemed interesting.
