That mentality needs to go the way of the dodo bird. And with 2% foreseeable growth, more pilots are going to be on reserve for a longer time. And how do you give up something to gain something when you're already #6 and falling compared to the 8 big major passenger airlines left?
Amen to that, these poor guys and gals are stuck for who knows how long and this guy has no clue. Bet if he went on reserve for a month his tune would change. Packrat, brother please try and have some compassion for those that are stuck at the bottom for the next 5 years. Some subtle language changes to reserve rules could go a long way to ease there suffering for a long time.
