Remember the System Chief Pilot who would deadhead to the middle of a disputed pairing, fly the offensive leg, deadhead home, and proclaim it wasn't all that bad? If they really wanted to know what our job is like, they wouldn't have office jobs with secretaries.
This isn't about being one of us, it's about taking advantage of us. There are a few perks to having a seniority number, and they shouldn't be frittered away on a senior manager hired from the outside.
