All they need to do is slow hiring... say by increasing failures to 60%... or just reducing hiring....
they can claim they’re trying to hire while staffing drops. When it gets low enough from normal attrition, doors close.
817 Comair pilots on property when they were told don’t come in anymore, company closed. That’s not a furlough.
And now ATSG could do that with any of its carriers and shift the flying around if they had 200 pilots to cover the current book. No worries though...I am sure the ATI or Omni scope in their contract would prevent that....I mean it's not like they are more expensive. Oh wait they are more expensive! Oh well we are just spit balling here....
