Either way, whatever decision we make in the coming weeks, I hope that we can remain humble in the face of any outcome. I hope we can move forward as a whole and, no matter the pay and work rules, start trying to return this airline to what it once was—a pretty damn decent place to work.
I wrote this weeks ago and I still believe it. Admittedly, today it is difficult for me to not be disappointed in our pilot group. It will be even more difficult to forgive those pilots who profited heavily during negotiations. As Barry said, “It’s a tough pill to swallow.”
