Can anyone explain this one to me. I just got off the phone with scheduling to see if they could explain why I can't pick up a pilot to pilot trip if I'm on reserve? And I didn't really get a clear answer. The MOU doesn't explicitly say you CAN NOT pick up pilot to pilot trips on your days off....it just says you CAN pick up Open Time trips with scheduling approval. Scheduling said something about people trying drop their victory lap (end of trip Turn) and some of the not being enough credit. I don't understand how that effects anything if a Reservist on their day off wants to pick up turn for more $$$ ....even if it doesn't meet the daily mins. Why would a Bid block holder vs a Reservist make any difference in this case?
Aren't Pilot to Pilot grabs just that? Trips between Pilots that the Company really can't touch. Big Boy rules making sure you have enough rest prior to your start of your next day of reserve to be legal to fly.....just like if you are a line holder and grab a pilot to pilot trip?
What was the name of this thread again??
