When a Mesaba pilot flows to NWA, the name associated with his seniority number at the time he leaves Mesaba will say “Flow” and will not be given to the next most senior pilot. These “flow” position holders on the seniority list will move up with attrition. Perhaps XJSAAB or RJ85FO can interpret what this means.
It means that any furloughed NWA pilot may flow down into the "flow" spots, in seniority order, of course.
In other words being former Mesaba (or Compass) will be absolutely meaningless as far as participating in a flow down from NWA is concerned.
