Just a point of reference, but BA has been sending 2x747s to PHX per day in the peak travel season. It looks like one of the BA 747s will be going away and is to be replaced by the AA 777. Not sure what the O&D traffic for the route is, but total demand and economics suits two large jets per day, apparently.
Yes I agree. From an economic standpoint PHX is the 5th largest city in the country and still one of the fastest growing. More and more companies are relocating to PHX creating international travel demand. AA isn't going anywhere.
