I don't think they are used either, at least not from the articles I've seen. Bombardier must be offering a good deal on these and the bean counters project enough premium revenue to offset acquisition costs.

Probably a less than 5 year experiment that will result in "retrofitting" them to 66 seats like the CRJ 700.
