If you meet the mins then I wouldn't worry about the conversion factor unless it restricted you when it came time to upgrade (3500hrs I believe, probably not an issue being retired AF). There are a few folks that live in LAS and we operate out of there regularly so chances of a home start or end are possible. Day one would usually be an airline flight to Nor or SoCal I'd bet.
