Remember that peeps in Willis are looking out several years....not the tomorrow and next week that most pilots operate on. However, his comments, combined with things we are starting to see (increased destinations, flights, etc. out of DEN), combined with 185 Max aircraft coming.... Makes perfect sense actually. Of all our hubs, DEN is the best suited for such a role. The best/most efficient runway and terminal layout. The best location for efficient connections and lots of room to grow. IAD and IAH can grow and have decent layouts, but are only especially efficient for trans Atlantic and South American connections respectively. ORD is obviously going to be a mess for quite some time. Now if we could just push out WN and F9....
