In THEORY, someone in the air national guard could be called up during indoc, sent off on active duty orders for a year or two, and be accruing seniority all the time he/she was gone. It CAN happen, and yes, those whose training footprints are slowed by delays are still accruing seniority, but right now, Today, at Republic, it is unlikely to give you much of any advantage.

What if, hypothetically, someone who is currently on a training delay and won’t be flying until June was sitting about 7 spots away from the number of expected lines to be awarded? Wouldn’t that person have a decent chance of getting a line right out of IOE, or pretty close to it? I know the next class would have to finish training so enough people would be available to be on reserve.
Honestly, I should... er, my friend should stop speculating so much and just see how things go.
