Their dog and pony show is impressive.
I went to the one in MSP. You are expected to be there for the whole thing. It is largely informational. I brought all my logbooks but showed them nothing except for the resume I gave them.
It is not an interview, but you can expect to be there for the full time. They show a couple of videos, talk about the airline, talk about benefits, talk about some of the negatives, talk about Dubai and the lifestyle, etc. Two pilots and a woman from their HR dept.
There were about 25 pilots there and I think most were simply curious, but some were quite serious. I went in a suit and tie and talked to the folks just to get some face time. But there is little BS. They are friendly, but it's not how I imagine the roadshows of most US carriers to be. They were very upfront and honest with no need to kiss their butts. They need pilots and are looking for professionals who want to work for them. Simple as that.
I meet their mins and will be applying.
I would recommend going if for no other reason that to have a glimpse at how a non-US carrier functions. Very educational and very interesting.
