The lead guy is name Steve. He has been at EK about 4 years and is British. Dave was the other guy, Dutch I think. Annetta is the HR woman.
Nice and pretty informal presentation. Steve said they used to select pilots, but now they have road shows and "recruit". He was forthcoming. He said EK badly needs pilots. They have an MD11 sim in ATL for the last half of DEC and were offering sim checks to anyone who wanted one. Well not everyone, there was one low time guy that they wouldn't let take a sim check. But if you met the mins, and wanted to sim ride, you picked the time and off you went.
Steve was reviewing applications and documents for the people who wanted to go to Dubai and take part in the selection process there. If you met the mins, they signed you up for the selection process in Dubai right there on the spot.
There was about 19 people in the room for the presentation. Some left without talking to anyone. Looks like maybe 3-4 got sim checks scheduled in ATL the rest (10-15) signed up to do the whole process in Dubai.
Several people showed up with wives and children. Some guys showed up in jean pants and t-shirts. One guy just finished flying and was in his uniforms shirt with out any brass but no tie. Wide variety of people, most looked excited.
