Unfortunately the DVD is Region Code "0" which a bunch of Players, like my Sony, won't play... Most commercial DVDs that are released worldwide are now encoded with RPC "123456" (i.e. all) rather than "0". PAL could also be an issue with some real basic players.
You can rip and reburn the DVD as NTSC with Nero. There is no copy protection on it.
